Absolute Music Rescues Ex-DV247 Staff

Exactly one week on, amid the appalling controversy of DV247's Web Team and 'Superstore' sale to German buyers 'Music Store GmbH', there comes some light at the end of the tunnel for eight previous Digital Village in-store employees. Today 'The Pro Audio Web Blog' has been informed that Dorset based music superstore, Absolute Music, has acted fast to swoop a number of Digital Village's most lucrative staff.

Whilst Digit?al Village's in-store staff were officially made redundant as of the 10th of May the new owners, 'Music Store GmbH', have appeared to overlook what Digital Village was all about. In fact many previous Digital Village in-store staff were not only involved with managing sales tasks, but also acted as friendly showroom staff, consultation agents and provided install services to larger clients. Offering a service that mutually benefitted both parties, DV247 has now lost this most lucrative unique personal identity as well as the loyalty and respect from scores of clients. Here at The Pro Audio Web Blog we believe that their disrespectful marketing 'today we are now bigger' redesign and 'hush hush' buyout has severely damaged the brand integrity. However, as the new buyers have left Digital Village stores in the dust, the Absolute Music retailer has come to the rescue by employing eight pedigree Ex-Dv staff as 'consultants'. Now, almost overnight, Absolute Music has gained eight regional staff that bring with them an extensive proven sales track record, even more business contacts, a large current client sheet, over 150 years of experience, and representatives that place the Absolute Music brand further into the national.

As Absolute Music adds these professionals the business an inside source has informed us today that "this is just the beginning, and Absolute are looking to expand further whilst integrating with local music facilities and other businesses". Having this statement is quite interesting as our inside source from DV247 has informed us "to not believe the hype following the store closures, there is much more to come". Taking both of these statements forward it seems as if Absolute Music has only just begun flexing their muscles and that DV247 may just have shown the tip of the iceberg. Whatever happens we will keep you updated…
